I absolutely love playing around with recipes and cleaning them up! I love cheesy chicken because it's a little sweet and crisp. However it tends to be a little greasy and doesn't always agree with my tummy.
I decided to play around with the recipe and try two of my favorite things: pecans and honey.
It was delicious! Check it out.
Ingredients
2 eggs
1/2 cup honey
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup of oats
salt and pepper to taste
6 chicken breasts halved
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375
- In a bowl beat eggs and honey until well blended
- In a separate bowl, mix pecs, oats and salt and pepper
- Dip chicken in egg and honey mixture. Then coat in the oat mixture.
- Cook in over 40 minutes, turning once or until chicken is no longer pink.
Enjoy with your favorite vegetable medley!
